Shorlo gathers maps, nearby places, weather, surf, and other information to help you plan a trip. It is for general information only and is not professional, safety, or travel advice.

Beach conditions and flags are estimates

Forecasts, rip current risk, water temperature, and other conditions come from third-party sources and can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. The beach flag color shown on Shorlo is an estimate based on the National Weather Service rip current risk. It is not the official flag. Always obey the flags posted on the beach and follow the instructions of lifeguards and local officials. Swim near a lifeguard whenever possible.

Places, walking times, and events

Place information comes from OpenStreetMap and may be out of date. Walking times are estimates. Check hours and details with businesses directly. Event listings, when shown, come from third parties.

No warranty

Shorlo is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Shorlo and its operator are not liable for any loss or injury arising from your use of the site or reliance on its information.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Alabama.
